Our class had a great first week together. We played a lot of name games and other games to help with our wiggles! The kinders love Surprise Box time and free choice centers in the afternoon. They have all quickly picked up on the routine in our class and are learning about their classmates.
Some kinders are hungry in the afternoon. If your kinder would like to bring a snack to enjoy at our 3:00 recess time, that would be fine. Please help him/her find a place in his/her backpack to pack the snack. Thank you!
The lunchroom routine has changed a bit since I spoke with you at Back-To-School Night. In the morning we are taking a "hot lunch" count & double checking with lunch boxes. We are sending Mr. Rolfs our lunch tickets prior to our lunch so that he can punch in our ID numbers to help us have more time for eating. We have seen great improvement during lunch time...and happier kinders!
Last week we focused on dinosaurs and created all kinds of fun projects. We painted with Karo Syrup & paint, used our foot to make a stegosaurus, finished dinosaur pictures that were missing lines and sang fun songs! We are certainly busy and very tired by the end of the day.
Have a super week!

Thanks for easing Madison into her first week of kindergarten. She is always excited to tell me about her day and her new friends. She especially enjoys showing me her most recent drawings. I look forward to more stories. Thanks!
