Core Stories are a Hit!

Our class was busy last week acting out "Little Red Riding Hood" and providing me with a variety of endings for this great tale. The more details provided, the better! We have such compassionate kinders in our class who genuinely help one another...especially if they encounter a little stage fright. :)

Take-home readers were sent home tonight for the first time. Please enjoy the reading experience with your kinder, sign the log sheet and return it tomorrow so that s/he can get a new reader. Our goal is to read the book in class prior to it coming home. Readers will be sent Monday through Thursday.

Our classroom is scheduled to be painted on Wednesday, Sept. 16th. District painters will be in from 4:30 - 8:30 a.m. that morning to complete the job. I have been told there will be minimal fumes and the paint is non-toxic. It will be wonderful to have a "fresh" looking classroom!

Information regarding assessments that were completed these first few weeks of school will be coming home on Friday. Please look for this in your kinder's folder. It is titled: "Look What I Can Do!" The kinders continue to learn and practice rules and routines of school. They are working hard to follow the Zach ROAR expectations: being responsible, organized, attentive and respectful.

I did assign an additional homework to every kinder tonight...get to bed by 7:30! :) Recovery from a long weekend is hard!!!

Have a fantastic week!
